Going Green
Applied Staffing Solutions, a division of The Applied Companies, recognizes it and its employees can have a positive impact on our environment. In an ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we instituted practices that promote responsible sustainability in our business activities.
By being proactive and “going green” we raise awareness, use our natural resources more efficiently, and minimize paper consumption and waste.
Going Green includes:
- Operating paperless as much as possible. Invoices sent electronically, paystubs retrieved electronically, and pay cards issued to temporary employees.
- Reduce---Reuse---Recycle plastic, paper, aluminum, glass.
- Reducing the need to copy and print. When appropriate we copy and print on both sides of the paper.
- Use of environmentally friendly cleaning products.
- Eliminated purchasing water bottles for staff. Utilize large water coolers and reusable water bottles rather than disposable cups.
- Purchasing organic and local foods for staff use.
- Monthly updates, tips, and training at staff meetings.
